KICKOFF (W2025)
Working with Socratica felt like a dream! Going from a general attendee of the coworking sessions to event planning was a big jump and an exciting experience!
Overview
This project felt like the most high-profile thing I've done as a designer. I've previously attended Socratica's coworking sessions, occasionally demoing animation and game dev projects. So, when I was contacted to be an event planner / graphic designer, I jumped at the opportunity! I got to work with a brand guidelines, design requirements, and an experimental style! Overall, it was a busy, yet fun process planning and designing for the Kickoff event.
Outcomes
I learned how to work efficiently because of this event. We had less than a week to both promote and plan the event. So, I had to wear a lot of hats. It wasn't just using Figma and Illustrator to design signage and Instagram content. I also attended the AV and floorplan walkthrough, helped the team plan event activities, assisted in managing the Lu.ma, created a photo frame and helped bring extra materials like nametags, tape, and markers. So stressful but worth it!
